Various state level Entrepreneurship Development Institutions as well as EDI, the pioneer in entrepreneurship development, have, since decades, been conducting localised Entrepreneurship Development Programmes (EDPs). These EDPs have limitations in terms of beneficiaries being covered at a time and thus fail to fulfill the need of a large number of potential entrepreneurs scattered in the vast geographical areas of the country.
